Signal
Connecting Signal links Bitment as a linked device on your own Signal account, the same way you'd link Signal Desktop. Once linked, your Signal conversations sync into Bitment and you can read and send from here, with the same end-to-end encryption Signal itself uses.

Settings › Connections › Signal.
Key concepts
- Personal, one device at a time. A Signal connection belongs to you alone, and you can have exactly one linked at a time. Linking again replaces the existing link rather than adding a second one.
- You choose what syncs. Right after linking, before any message content syncs, you decide whether to bring everything in or review first.
Link your account
- Open Settings › Connections › Signal.
- Follow the link flow, which shows a QR code.
- Scan it with your phone's Signal app, the same way you'd link Signal Desktop.
Choose what syncs (privacy controls)
Right after linking, you're offered a choice:
- Sync everything now, or
- Review conversations first: a searchable list of your contacts and conversations, with no message content synced yet, where you exclude anything you'd rather keep out of Bitment before syncing starts.
That list stays available afterward as Synced conversations, a permanent section on this page. Include or exclude any conversation at any time; excluding one purges it from Bitment and stops syncing it going forward. Because Signal can't re-send history, anything received while a conversation was excluded is gone from Bitment for good, though your phone's own Signal history is untouched.
This page also has a danger action, Delete synced messages, which deletes every synced message, keeps your conversation list and exclusions, and pauses syncing until you review again. It's irreversible.
What shows up in Messages
Open Messages and switch to the Signal tab. Your conversations, groups, and read receipts sync in both directions, just like the Signal app on your phone. A client's or contact's Signal number, recorded on their profile in Clients, matches their conversations automatically onto that client's own Signal page.
Sending
Type in the message box like any other conversation, or send a screenshot by pasting it. The assistant can read your Signal conversations, draft replies, start brand-new conversations with people you haven't messaged yet, and manage a group on your behalf, all staged for your approval before anything sends.
Disconnect
Use Disconnect on this page. Reconnect any time by scanning a fresh code.
