The Bitment Network

The Bitment Network is a set of BitmentOS environments, one per firm, plus Bitment Books, connected through the Bitment Portal. Four things stay true at any size:

• Every environment is isolated by construction: its own network, database and address. Nothing is multi-tenant.
• Trust between environments is brokered by the Portal on a person's behalf. It pairs two environments without ever holding a firm's data.
• A record a person is permitted to see in one environment appears natively in every environment they operate, in the app's own list with the app's own controls, and is gone within a minute of the permission being removed.
• Bitment Books is itself a node on the network.

For a client, the network is one door to accounting, tax, bookkeeping, planning and other firms, each of which the client works with directly, by name. For a firm, it is its own operating system and a network that brings it clients.
