Fireflies
If your firm already runs Fireflies.ai for meeting transcripts, connecting it brings your existing meetings into Bitment's Meetings app and keeps new ones flowing in automatically.
Where to find it
Settings › Connections › Fireflies.
Key concepts
- API key connection. You paste a key from your Fireflies account; Bitment validates it and gives you a webhook to paste back into Fireflies for new meetings.
- Personal or firm-wide. When you connect, you choose whether the connection belongs to you personally or to one or more of your firms. This choice is changeable later.
- One connection covers a whole firm. Associated to a firm, one teammate connecting is enough for everyone; each person automatically sees the imported meetings they took part in.
Connect Fireflies
- Open Settings › Connections › Fireflies.
- Paste your Fireflies API key.
- Bitment validates it, backfills your existing meetings, and gives you a webhook URL and secret.
- Paste that webhook URL and secret back into Fireflies so new meetings sync automatically going forward.
Personal vs. firm association
When you connect, pick Personal or one or more of your firms. Associated to a firm:
- Teammates see it's already connected, as a read-only team card on their own Fireflies connection page, rather than needing to paste their own key.
- Each person automatically sees the imported meetings they took part in, matched by their verified email address against the meeting's participants.
- If two teammates end up connecting the same Fireflies account, nothing doubles: a meeting both connections imported shows once in every list.
Change the association later from the connection's Belongs to section.
What shows up in Meetings
Open Meetings and switch to the Fireflies tab for every imported meeting. Each carries its own transcript and AI-generated summary, just like a meeting captured natively in Bitment.
Meetings also associate themselves with clients automatically wherever possible: under Matched automatically from attendees on a meeting's page, one chip appears per client the meeting's attendee emails resolved to. An attendee email your CRM doesn't recognize shows as a dashed + you can click to add that person.
Fireflies on a client's profile
Open a client in Clients and pick Fireflies under its Coordination group. That page lists meetings involving that client: ones you associated explicitly, plus imported meetings where the client's or one of its contacts' email addresses appears among the participants or as the organizer.
Waking an agent on a new import
Grant an AI agent the Fireflies permission and it can wake each time a brand-new transcript arrives from the connected workspace, ready to draft follow-ups automatically. The meetings you backfill at first connect deliberately don't wake anything, so connecting doesn't set an agent running on every meeting you've ever recorded.
Disconnect
Use the disconnect action on this page. This stops the backfill and the webhook from bringing in new meetings; meetings already imported stay put.
