CCH Axcess
If your firm runs CCH Axcess Tax (a Wolters Kluwer product), Bitment can work alongside it: pulling returns in, pushing source documents both ways, and letting you generate returns from either engine. This is off by default and has to be enabled for your account; ask your firm's Bitment contact if you don't see this page.

Settings › Connections › CCH Axcess.
Key concepts
- Real OAuth sign-in, using your own OIP OAuth application credentials registered in your firm's CCH Axcess Dashboard.
- One connection per owner. You can connect once for your Personal use and once per firm you belong to, since each firm's CCH subscription is a distinct credential.
Register your OAuth application
- In the CCH Axcess Dashboard, go to Application Links › Firm › Developer Tools and create a new OIP OAuth application.
- Note its client ID and client secret.
Connect
- Open Settings › Connections › CCH Axcess.
- Under the owner section you want (Personal or a firm), paste the client ID and client secret.
- Submitting redirects your browser to CCH's own login and consent screen. Sign in there, ideally as a dedicated CCH service account, per CCH's own recommendation.
- You're returned to Bitment, connected.
What shows up in Taxes
Inside a return, a Bitment | CCH tab strip switches between the two return engines. From the Taxes app you can:
- Pull returns out of CCH: pick the account, browse returns in CCH, and pull them in as background jobs. Re-pulling a return overwrites it in place, with a warning first.
- Push to CCH and keep source documents in sync afterward, resolving differences per field, per document, or all at once.
If a connection needs re-authentication
When your refresh token expires or is revoked, the connection flips to needing re-authentication, and a one-click Re-authenticate button reuses your stored credentials, no re-entry needed unless you're connecting a different OIP application.
Disconnect
Use the disconnect action on this page. Tax returns already pulled into Bitment stay put; only the sync stops.
