Campaigns

Campaigns is Bitment's outbound sales tool, built around one idea: no templates and no merge tags. Instead of one email stamped with a name, the AI writes a genuinely bespoke sequence of emails for each prospect, you review and edit what you want, then start it. The app itself is a prospect pool: import prospects, tag and rank them, select an audience, and draft a campaign against it.

Where to find it

Open Campaigns from the dock. It's a firm-wide app: prospects are one pool shared across the firm, not scoped to a single client, though a prospect can still reference an existing client.

Key concepts

Get prospects in

Import a CSV or add prospects by hand. Tag them freely, tags are how you slice the pool into a campaign's audience later. You can also have the AI rank prospects by priority against a description of what you're looking for, producing a tier and a short rationale for each one.

Draft a campaign

  1. Select the prospects you want (filter the pool, then select all N matching to grab the whole filtered set, not just the visible page).
  2. Click Draft Campaign to open a full-view AI chat.
  3. Tell it the objective, the offer, and the tone, anything that matters to how the emails should read. It authors a real, complete email sequence per prospect, not one template with names swapped in.
  4. Review each drafted email. Edit it by hand, or tell the chat what to change across the board.
  5. Click Start.

The chat header's download icon exports the drafting conversation as a PDF.

Sending, so it reads like a person wrote it

Campaign emails are written to look like ordinary, hand-composed mail, not a mass-mail blast, because that's what actually gets delivered. Concretely:

While a campaign runs

The prospect detail page shows their campaigns, upcoming emails, and inbound replies in one place.

Sourcing new prospects

The Sourcing section is an optional integration with People Data Labs, using your own API key, for finding new prospects to bring into the pool. It works the same loop across three kinds of data, person, company, and job posting:

  1. Match: a low-cost count of how many records fit your filters.
  2. Purchase: a bounded fetch of matching records, which persists as an order you can browse later; purchasing more against the same filters appends to the same order.
  3. Import (person records only): create prospects from a purchased order. Free, and safe to run twice, importing the same person again does nothing.

Every priced action states its worst-case cost up front in credits, and a monthly credit budget you set is enforced before any purchase, so a mistake can't run up an unexpected bill. Connect your API key and set that budget under Campaigns' Sourcing settings.
